1. About these terms
These terms apply when you use this website or book a service with Your registered business name, trading as Adhikary Enterprice Kolkata ("we", "us", "our"). By using the website or booking a service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the website or book with us.
2. Our services
We repair, service, install and uninstall air conditioners, microwave ovens, refrigerators, washing machines and geysers at homes in Kolkata and nearby areas we serve. We may decline or reschedule a job if the site is unsafe, the area is outside our service range, or a needed part is not available.
3. Booking a visit
- A booking through the form, phone or WhatsApp is a request. It is confirmed only when we confirm a time with you by call or message.
- Time slots and arrival times are estimates. Traffic, weather and earlier jobs can cause delays.
- Please give accurate details. You must be 18 or older, or booking with the permission of the property owner.
- You, or someone you authorise, should be present at the visit.
4. Visit charge, quotes and pricing
- We tell you the visit charge when you book. It applies even if you decide not to go ahead with the repair.
- After checking the appliance, the technician gives you a quote for parts and labour. Work starts only when you agree.
- If we find another fault during the job, we give you a new quote before we continue.
- Prices on this website, if any, are indicative. The quote you approve is the price you pay, plus any taxes that apply.
5. Payment
- You pay after the work is finished and you have checked that the appliance works. We accept cash and UPI.
- We give you an invoice listing each part and the labour charge.
- We may ask for an advance only for a part that has to be ordered specially. We tell you before we ask.
6. Rescheduling and cancelling
Please tell us as early as you can if you need to change or cancel a visit. There is no charge if you cancel before we send a technician. If the technician is already on the way or has arrived, the visit charge may apply.
We may also need to reschedule because of heavy rain, an emergency or an earlier job that runs long. We will tell you as soon as we know.
7. Your responsibilities
- Give the technician safe access to the appliance and a clear working space.
- Make sure power and water are available where the job needs them.
- Keep pets away and move fragile items and valuables out of the way.
- Tell us about any known hazards, such as damaged wiring, leaks or a slippery floor.
- For installations, get any permission you need from your landlord or housing society, for example to fit an outdoor AC unit.
8. Parts and warranty
We fit genuine or brand-compatible parts. Repairs come with a warranty on labour and parts. The period depends on the appliance and the part, and it is written on your invoice.
The warranty covers the same fault coming back because of our workmanship or a defective part. It does not cover:
- Misuse, physical damage or water damage
- Faults caused by power surges or voltage fluctuation
- Damage from pests, or from work done by someone else after our visit
- Damage from fire, flood or other events beyond our control
- Consumables and unrelated faults
To make a claim, call us and keep your invoice ready. If your appliance is still under the manufacturer's warranty, check with the manufacturer before booking us, because repairs by others can affect that warranty.
9. Installations
- Extra materials such as pipes, wiring, brackets and stands are charged separately, and we quote them before we begin.
- We cannot see wiring or pipes hidden inside walls. We are not responsible for hidden services that are damaged when drilling was done where you asked.
- Existing wiring and earthing must be safe for the appliance. We may refuse to install, or ask you to fix the wiring first, if it is not.
10. Age and condition of the appliance
Older appliances can fail again for reasons unrelated to our repair. If a repair would cost more than it is worth, we will tell you so you can decide. We are not responsible for faults that existed before our visit and that we did not work on.
11. Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows:
- We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as spoiled food when a fridge stops working, or lost income.
- Our total liability for any job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and nothing affects your rights as a consumer under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
