1. Who we are

Your registered business name, trading as Adhikary Enterprice Kolkata ("we", "us", "our"), repairs, services and installs air conditioners, microwave ovens, refrigerators, washing machines and geysers in Kolkata.

This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use this website or contact us, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By submitting the booking form or contacting us, you agree to this policy.

Automatically, when you open the website

Your browser sends technical details such as your IP address, browser type, device and the pages you request to our web host and to the third-party services that deliver parts of this page (see section 5). We do not run analytics or advertising trackers on this website at present.

Please do not put bank details, card numbers, OTPs, passwords or government ID numbers in the form or in messages to us. We never need them.

3. How we use your information

To call or message you and confirm your booking
To schedule and carry out the visit, diagnose the fault, give a quote, repair or install, and issue an invoice
To keep records for warranty claims and follow-up questions
To answer your questions and handle complaints
To keep the website secure and stop spam
To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations

We contact you by phone, SMS or WhatsApp about your booking. We send promotional messages only if you have agreed, and you can ask us to stop at any time.

We process your information with your consent, which you give when you submit the form or contact us, and for purposes the law allows without consent, such as meeting legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed:

With the technician assigned to your visit
With service providers that help us run the business, such as email delivery for the booking form, messaging (WhatsApp), web hosting and payment apps
With professional advisers such as accountants
With government bodies, courts or the police when the law requires it
With a buyer, if the business is ever transferred. This policy would continue to apply to your information.

Our technicians and staff may use your details only for your job.

5. Third-party services on this website

When this page loads, the services below receive your IP address and browser details:

FormSubmit (formsubmit.co): if you use the booking form, your entries pass through its servers to reach our email inbox.
WhatsApp (Meta): when you tap a WhatsApp button, WhatsApp opens with your message. Its own privacy policy covers what you send there.
Google Fonts: delivers the typefaces.
unpkg, cdnjs, jQuery CDN and Tailwind CDN: deliver icons, scripts and styles.
Pexels (images.pexels.com): hosts some of the photographs.

Some of these providers are outside India, so information about your visit may be processed abroad. They have their own privacy policies, which we do not control.

6. Cookies and browser storage

We do not set cookies of our own, and we do not use advertising or analytics cookies on this website. The third-party services above may store technical data in your browser so that they work properly. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.

If we add analytics later, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent first.

7. How long we keep it

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected.

Booking enquiries and service records: up to 3 years after your last service, so that we can handle warranty claims and follow-up questions
Invoices and payment records: as long as tax and accounting law require

After that we delete or anonymise the information.

8. Keeping it safe

We use reasonable safeguards, including limiting who can see booking details. No website or email service is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

We never ask for your OTP, UPI PIN, card PIN or passwords, on the website, by phone or on WhatsApp. If someone claiming to be us asks for these, do not share them and tell us.

9. Your rights and choices

Under applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 as it comes into force, you can:

Ask what personal information we hold about you and how we use it
Ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete
Ask us to delete your information, unless we must keep it by law, for example invoices
Withdraw a consent you gave us. This does not undo what we have already done, and we may no longer be able to serve you.
Nominate another person to exercise these rights for you if you die or cannot act for yourself
Make a complaint to us

Use the contact details in section 11. We reply within a reasonable time and within any time limit the law sets. If you are not satisfied with our reply, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India where the law allows.

10. Children

Our services are for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to book for you. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you think we have, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. If we make a significant change, we will say so on the website.
